Principal Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound trucks have proper documentation and verify incoming shipments through physical counts
- Process outbound shipments in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation and correctness of material involved including a photo log
- Accurately interpret and enter high volume of data into the system in a timely manner in order for internal customers to monitor inventory, production and product movement across the yard
- Distributes orders, waybills, etc. to designated recipients daily
- Consolidate paper flow from yard and post correct information to proper location or person
- Maintain shipments to ensure that customer specific requirements are met
- Supports Transportation functions during an emergency response situation
- Facilitate communication between Operations and Transportation as needed for successful and timely deliveries
- Facilitate inventory accuracy by way of reconciliation after cycle counts in production areas and coordinates annual inventory physical counts and reconciliations
- Participate and contribute to company safety program
Qualifications
- One year of shipping and transportation experience
- One year of data entry experience in an administrative role
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience with MRP systems is desired
