Operations Research Analyst – Space Mission Modeling & Simulation

Responsibilities

• Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study.
• Able to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives.
• The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff.

Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline.
• Required: 5+ years of experience.
• Required: Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analyses with AFSIM.
• Required: Experience in DoD space and/or joint force programs.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline.
• Preferred: Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Python, OptDef, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java.
• Preferred: Experience with data transformations and data visualization.
• Preferred: Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases.
• Preferred: Experience with BI Tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Excel VBA.

Qualifications

An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Pay

For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $130,000 - $140,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
