Operations Research Analyst, Senior
About the role
The Operations Research Analyst, Senior role requires a proven track record in data exploration, analysis, and reporting. You will lead teams in evaluating data assessment strategies and applying advanced analytics techniques to deliver solutions that inform senior DoD leadership decisions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate data assessment strategies and apply techniques such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis
- Develop program briefs, documentation, and presentations to present results and collaborate with stakeholders
- Conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data
- Devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, and other scientific and economic principles
- Transform and advance DoD's missions through the development of technologies and concepts
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, and data mining
- 7+ years of experience with analytical methodologies, including statistics, data modeling, forecasting, and optimization
- 5+ years of experience developing solutions for advanced analytics or wargaming
- Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations on data related to operational metrics
- Ability to collaborate with decision-makers about issues and solutions
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python or RTS/SCI clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a Quantitative field
- Nice to have: Experience using ADVANA applications, building dashboards in Power BI, working within the DoD, experimentation or wargaming experience, knowledge of analytical languages and software, strong writing, research, and presentation skills

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
