Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist

Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements, adjust analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicate results.
- Develop and implement mathematical and statistical models to solve problems across multiple domains.
- Coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives.
- Apply modern Data Science techniques (such as supervised and unsupervised machine learning) to datasets.
- Optimize tasks using computer automation.
- Work as part of a contractor team alongside a broader team of government and contract staff.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Master of Science degree in operations research, data science, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Proficiency with Python.
- Experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models.
- High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data.
Qualifications (Desired)
- Ph.D. in operations research or a theoretical science field.
- Experience in DoD space and joint force programs.
- Experience with the Warp Core and/or Envision platforms.
- Experience with NumPy, scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, SymPy, SPSS, PSPP, SAS, JMP.
- Experience with web-application system design and deployment using Plotly Dash, containerization, and databases.
Work Environment
- Location: On site at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal.
- Working Hours: Standard, 40 hours per week (Full-time).
Pay
For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 - $150,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Other Compensation
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may include a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
