Responsibilities
- Aid in building and automating business applications and processes to streamline operations and enable actionable insights for a major Government entity managing installation and facility data at the headquarters level.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive BI solutions using Power BI to provide real-time reporting, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
- Develop and automate workflows using Power Automate to streamline and optimize business processes.
- Create and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to solve business challenges and enhance productivity.
- Integrate and customize SharePoint solutions to support business collaboration, document management, and process automation.
- Maintain and optimize existing Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Support end users by providing training and ongoing technical assistance for Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint tools.
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, and transformation from various sources to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Continuously monitor BI system performance, identifying and addressing potential issues or bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint to recommend enhancements.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or a related STEM field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX queries, Power Query, data modeling, and custom visuals.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 25%.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and is required to complete and successfully pass a Department of Defense National Agency Check.
- Must be able to gain and maintain access to military installations and military automation systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills.
- Strong proficiency in Power Apps development, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
- Extensive experience with Power Automate to design and implement automated workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint development and customization, including integration with Power Platform tools.
- Experience in ETL processes, data integration, and data transformation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, Fabric, or SharePoint are highly desirable.
- Experience in managing and securing data access and permissions in SharePoint and Power BI is preferred.
- Possession of a current NACI or Secret Clearance is a plus.
