About the Role

As an operations research analyst, you’ll evaluate United States Air Force capabilities. You’ll work alongside a team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret the performance needs of various capabilities. Once documented, you’ll develop findings to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in program meetings to improve program efficiency.

In this role, you’ll use analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. You’ll also develop technologies and concepts that advance our customer's mission.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with Operations Research Analysis (ORSA), Data Science, or mathematic or analytic methodologies
  • Experience with developing analytic methodologies, metrics, and decision criteria
  • Experience with leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Experience with preparing and presenting information to communicate assessment findings
  • Experience with R, Python, SQL, or software programs that analyze data
  • Experience collaborating with other analysts in an integrated development environment
  • Experience with survey design or analysis and interview techniques
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research Systems Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Nice to Have

  • Experience with decision models, nodal or flow modeling, or trending and forecasting
  • Experience with code repositories, or data and information management
  • Experience with wargaming, simulation, or geospatial analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Secret clearance is required.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work models include:

  • Remote: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
