Brief Description
Impacts deposit operations efficiency and quality while safeguarding the Bank against regulatory violations.
Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate posting of transactions related to ACH, cash management, ATM, and IRA processing and reporting.
- Data entry for Deposit Services transactions, including ACH exception reports, deposit returns, unposted transactions, stop payment releases and requests, unauthorized ACH transactions, government reclamations, and internal/external adjustments of ACH/checks.
- Processes ATM and debit card agreements and changes; coordinates the issuance of debit cards.
- Researches and resolves issues such as ACH/check returns, legal documentation, returned/expired debit cards, fraudulent activity, etc.
- Maintains departmental records and generates daily reports.
- Provides assistance to internal and external customers with research and resolution related inquiries.
- Coordinates incoming/outgoing mail.
- Remits funds to government agencies.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable reporting and recordkeeping requirements and timely distribution of related materials to designated personnel.
- Performs various clerical duties, such as copying, scanning, and filing.
- Supports other department personnel as assigned.
Ancillary Functions
- Affirms adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed.
Skills
- Clearly communicates in English.
- Intermediate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
- Intermediate interpersonal relations and communications skills.
- Basic knowledge of banking operations and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of ATM and wire transfer operations and ACH processing rules.
- Basic knowledge of legal documentation requirements, dormant accounts, and IRA products.
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office software.
Requirements
- A high school diploma with an emphasis on a business curriculum, or equivalent experience required.
- A minimum of one (1) year related experience normally required.
