Operations Project, Planner

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead planning exercises, prepare, and maintain project schedules for Operations
• Ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support project controls activities
• Aids operations team in resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, and changes
• Establishes and maintains a standard reporting format for management reports
• Reviews schedules to ensure that the appropriate level of details and structure are applied and effective progress monitoring
• Ensures schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource-loaded in order to ensure accuracy
• Ensures compliance of industry procedures and practices
• Sets up, implements, and maintains schedule related key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Obtains data on progress, logic, and manpower from operations/plant personnel
• Conducts schedule review meetings and assists in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to operational plans and communicates any deviations of current plan

Qualifications

• Required experience: 3+ years of experience
• Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent experience in LNG project engineering and/or construction industry
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
• Specific expertise with Microsoft Project
