About the role
The Operations Manager contributes to Langham’s goals of exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, regulatory compliance, and profitability by leading the Inbound and Outbound operations of Life Sciences warehouse and distribution facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead all Inbound and Outbound Life Sciences warehouse operations.
- Manage operational metrics and benchmark performance indicators.
- Achieve financial, quality, and supply performance aligned with customer expectations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support LEAN activities.
- Ensure all team members follow Langham policies, procedures, and cGMP/GDP requirements.
- Manage and adhere to departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, DSCSA, and quality standards.
- Maintain audit readiness for regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
- Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and quality initiatives.
- Enforce safety programs and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain compliance with TSA, Homeland Security, and regulatory mandates.
- Promote a safety-first culture through reporting, corrective actions, and risk reduction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client requests and issues.
- Represent Langham in customer meetings and business reviews.
- Manage daily/weekly customer communication and reporting.
- Monitor KPIs and adjust priorities to meet customer supply chain needs.
- Manage, coach, and develop Warehouse Supervisors and staff.
- Ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements.
- Support career development planning and team competency.
- Promote positive communication and collaboration across departments.

Requirements
- Experience leading warehouse/distribution operations.
- Strong customer support skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
- Independent decision-making aligned with company and customer interests.
- Strong detail orientation and accuracy.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task under time constraints.
- Logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WMS.
- Mastery of cGMP and GDP practices in life sciences distribution.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies.
Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in supply chain management, business or related discipline.
- 8-10 years of operations management experience in a warehousing, logistics/distribution, and/or supply chain environment.
- Experience in temperature-controlled or highly regulated environment.
- Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification preferred.
- Certified Designated Representative (CDR) licensure is desired.
