About the role

International's Operations Management Development Program (OMDP) is a 2-year rotational program featuring structured 6-month rotations across key departments: engineering, production, program management, quality, purchasing, and supply chain/logistics. These assignments provide an in-depth understanding of business operations and a holistic perspective on the commercial vehicle industry.

The US-based program has two start dates per year: January and June/July. Ability to travel up to 30% and rotation flexibility is required. This role is based in Illinois, with potential travel or relocation to International facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, or elsewhere in the US during the 2-year program.

Responsibilities

  • Challenging Projects: Tackle real-world projects that directly impact organizational success. Work alongside experienced professionals and mentors to address complex challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and implement innovative solutions. This hands-on experience sharpens leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Development: Engage in formal training, mentorship programs, and access to an executive sponsor to enhance technical expertise and leadership capabilities. Participate in skill-building workshops, industry conferences, and certification opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with professionals from various disciplines to build relationships, expand your network, and foster creativity and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentorship and Executive Sponsorship: Be paired with experienced mentors and an Executive Sponsor for guidance, support, and insights into their areas of expertise. Mentors help navigate challenges, make informed career decisions, and unlock your full potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Transportation, Logistics, or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) and no experience OR
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Transportation, Logistics, or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment OR
  • Master’s degree in process in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Transportation, Logistics, or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International does not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship (e.g., H-1B status) for this position.

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to relocate.
  • Previous applicable co-op or intern experience (preferred).
  • Proven teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results, and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
