Job Summary

Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to identify an Operations Lead, Visual Inspection to support critical sterile manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Visual Inspection subject matter expert supporting manufacturing operations
  • Provide technical leadership for inspection-related manufacturing activities
  • Support both manual and automated Visual Inspection processes
  • Troubleshoot inspection processes, product quality issues, and operational performance challenges
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inspection effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Technical Services teams
  • Analyze Visual Inspection data to identify trends and opportunities to improve product quality and operational performance
  • Support investigations, including root cause analysis, deviation resolution, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, inspection standards, and applicable regulatory expectations
  • Support and assist in the implementation of process improvements and broader operational excellence initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Advanced degree in a related scientific or technical field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • Direct experience supporting Visual Inspection operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing activities
  • Prior experience as a Visual Inspection Supervisor or Inspection Manager (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of inspection processes, defect identification, and quality standards
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical quality systems
  • Experience with manual and/or automated Visual Inspection systems (preferred)
  • Experience supporting FDA, EMA, MHRA, or other regulatory inspections (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Validation, and Technical Services
  • Continuous Improvement (Preferred): Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement experience
