Operations Instructor (Nuclear)
About the role
Cultivates training programs for licensed, non-licensed operators, and shift technical advisors in reactor operations, adhering to NRC requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel.
- Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training.
- Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. Degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction for Ops Instructor, Non-Licensed.
- At least 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction AND current or previously SRO licensed or certified for Ops Instructor, Sr.
- At least 5 years of experience in the associated line organization for Ops Instructor, Sr Staff.
- Desired: 3 years previously licensed as PWR SRO for Ops Instructor, Sr.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
