About the role

Cultivates training programs for licensed, non-licensed operators, and shift technical advisors in reactor operations, adhering to NRC requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel.
  • Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training.
  • Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. Degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction for Ops Instructor, Non-Licensed.
  • At least 3 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in the area of instruction AND current or previously SRO licensed or certified for Ops Instructor, Sr.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the associated line organization for Ops Instructor, Sr Staff.
  • Desired: 3 years previously licensed as PWR SRO for Ops Instructor, Sr.

Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency in the assigned area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
