Position Summary

The forklift operator is responsible for various duties in the HPP/Bottling area, including storing and supplying juice bins, organizing bins to prevent mixing, transporting materials, and operating equipment safely.

Schedule

9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

HPP/Bottling: Forklift Operator Duties

  • Promptly store bins of juice after filling and discharge from the filler.
  • Ensure the HPP process is continuously supplied with juice, stocking bin dumpers and organizing bins to prevent mixing.
  • Transport materials in the bottling department using NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices.
  • Organize pallets and materials, manage dunnage, and load trailers.
  • Locate and deliver empty bins as needed.

Packaging/Packout: Forklift Operator Duties

  • Maintain accurate documentation of pallet counts for packaging and pack-out.
  • Move completed pallets onto the shrink wrap machine and wrap them securely.
  • Return unused materials to their designated areas and document transfers systematically.
  • Assist with placing bins on bin dumpers and organizing rework materials.
  • Wrap pallets securely to prevent shifting during transport without causing damage to the products.
  • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.

General Responsibilities

  • Enter transfers accurately and in real-time using NetSuite or RF Smart systems.
  • Effectively use electronic devices for tracking purposes.
  • Operate equipment safely, quickly, and efficiently.
  • Report any safety concerns or issues promptly.
  • Report any misuse of equipment by other operators.
  • Properly document and report any work-related accidents or incidents.

Bottling/HPP: Additional Duties

  • Ensure conveyors do not become backed up while fillers are running.
  • Complete dunnage tasks daily and load trailers with the correct dunnage.
  • Retrieve necessary materials and return unused materials to their designated areas.
  • Supply HPP operations with bins of juice for bin dumpers.
  • Organize the HPP floor to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Prevent mixing different types or sizes of juices.
  • Provide empty bins as needed for B1 and B2 bottling processes.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in Building 2.

Pack-Out/Packaging: Additional Duties

  • Retrieve materials as needed and accurately record them in NetSuite or RF Smart systems.
  • Keep all areas organized and ensure pathways are clear.
  • Return unused materials to their designated locations and document transfers systematically.
  • Assist with placing bins on bin dumpers and organizing rework materials.
  • Ensure all pallets are properly wrapped and documented on pallet count sheets in real time.

Education and Experience

  • GED/Diploma
  • Forklift certified
  • 1-2 years of forklift operation experience
  • Proficiency with computers and handheld devices
  • Experience with RF Smart systems
  • Data entry experience in NetSuite
  • Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions
  • Flexibility in performing various functions depending on the area of operation
  • Experience assisting supervision, management, leads, and operators as needed
  • Skilled in paperwork documentation
  • Experience as a machine operator

Knowledge and Skills

  • Active Forklift Certification
  • Excel Knowledge
  • Language Skills: Preferably bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Able to communicate and talk clearly/effectively
  • Leadership training
  • Ability to communicate, read, listen, and understand English

Physical Requirements

  • Regular exposure to wet, cold manufacturing environments (temperatures as low as 35°F)
  • Occasional exposure to dry warehouse spaces or freezer conditions (down to -10°F)
  • Frequent exposure to high noise levels (above 85 dBA)
  • Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear

Compensation

$18 - $19/HR DOE
