About the role

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. It involves driving key initiatives to improve financial insights, supporting factory improvements, and providing actionable insights into factory financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation of financial models, cost benefit analyses, and metrics.
  • Be the financial focal point for multi-site factories.
  • Conduct indirect cost management and analysis.
  • Support headcount and cost center planning.
  • Participate in factory improvement projects to reduce labor inefficiencies.
  • Provide actionable insights into factory financial performance and drive actions to closure.
  • Manage end-of-month business rhythms and deliverables.
  • Data mine across multiple data sets using tools like Databricks, Redshift, and SQL.
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly/quarterly financial and metric reports for Operations and Finance Leadership.
  • Identify operational and financial risks and opportunities with potential solutions; assist with recovery plan development.
  • Analyze and report financial performance variances of actuals to budget and forecast.
  • Support key business analytics and key performance indicators generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another highly analytical field.
  • 8+ years of financial and business analytics experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-motivator.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and GenAI.
  • Experience with OneStream, Tableau, Microsoft D365, and MRP systems.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of financial and business analytics experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and GenAI.
  • Experience with OneStream, Tableau, and Microsoft D365.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
