Operations Finance - Associate Business Partner
About the role
You’ll support the financial activities of operational business groups and their project management teams. Under the guidance of your leader, you’ll assist with financial analysis, reporting, and operational support, building foundational knowledge of project profitability and financial controls.
Ideal candidates are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- 1–5 years of related experience in finance or accounting
- Travel: less than 5%
Schedule
Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, some flexibility may be required to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing financial analysis to support business strategies, focusing on project profitability and performance
- Supports providing financial insights to project management and operational leaders
- Aids in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for operational groups, gathering and organizing data as directed
- Helps monitor financial results, tracks variances, and identifies trends, escalating findings to a senior partner for review
- Prepares and maintains financial reports to support operational decision-making
- Assists with day-to-day financial processes, including data entry, report generation, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information
- Supports the monitoring of project cash flow metrics and assists in basic profitability analysis
- Performs ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by the Operations Finance Business Partner
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
