Operations Finance Analyst

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Financial Analyst I, where you'll contribute to financial excellence and business growth. As part of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll help manage monthly closing processes, develop forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare business reviews. Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Manage monthly closing processes
• Develop forecasts and analyze variances
• Prepare business reviews
• Work with senior leadership
• Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Analyze large datasets
• Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and process improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; no prior experience required
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
• Strong organizational skills
• Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed
