Operations Associate

This is a Boston-based opportunity with a 4-day in-office expectation (Monday–Thursday) and 1 remote day (Friday). Wayfair will not sponsor applicants for employment authorization for this position for the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.

About the role

Wayfair’s Operations organization is revolutionizing the customer experience through the development of a proprietary logistics network and optimization platform that manages the end-to-end supply chain, from overseas production to the customer’s front door. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of freight haulage operations, ensuring the timely and secure transit of goods across the supply chain. You will collaborate closely with carriers, warehouse personnel, port authorities, and internal teams to facilitate seamless logistical processes, analyze operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to data-driven decision-making to optimize efficiency and minimize disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes and drive engagement with key cross-functional partners.
• Leverage analytical methods and visualization to translate data sets into actionable insights that drive business decisions and outcomes.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and build reporting in Google Sheets.
• Communicate regularly with cross-functional partners to understand the health of Wayfair’s supply chain network and determine ways to break down problems into action-oriented solutions.
• Develop and drive adherence to sustainable long-term performance management frameworks to improve performance across multiple process paths in our supply chain.
• Monitor key performance indicators and assess progress against core metrics and OKRs.
• Work cross-functionally with Warehousing, Transportation, Technology, and Supplier-facing teams.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interest in emerging technology and the ability to integrate generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini) into daily tasks to drive efficiencies.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).

Pay

Salary range: $64,000 – $70,500 per year.
