Operations Associate

About the role

The Operations Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for assisting the Product Lifecycle Manager with all aspects of daily material handling in a retail branch location. The Operations Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with the goals of our sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams. Responsibilities

• Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts and/or powered equipment
• Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks
• Communicate effectively with the Merchandising and Inventory teams to sufficiently stock products in correct merchandising locations within the branch
• Communicate effectively with the Product Lifecycle Manager to address any operational issues
• Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
• No degree required; relevant skills and experience valued above all else
• Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day
• Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated knowledge of our business model and a strong work ethic
• Basic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkers
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to think critically
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
