Operations Associate
About the role
ECBM is looking for an Operations Associate to join our team. The Operations Associate supports agency operations, system administration and compliance initiatives. This role focuses on improving efficiency, resolving operational and workflow issues, maintaining data integrity, and supporting regulatory and quality control requirements across agency systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and prioritize technical issues related to agency management systems and operational platforms.
- Aid service teams across departments with workflow, system, and process-related issues.
- Process monthly agency reports within AMS 360.
- Manage agency system downloads and related data processing activities in AMS 360/Worksmart.
- Assist with carrier website access management and user login setups.
- Review, process, and file Surplus Lines transactions through applicable state websites in accordance with state guidelines.
- Manage daily, monthly, quarterly and annual surplus lines reporting requirements.
- Identify issues that may lead to state surplus lines audits and assist with related data collection.
- Collaborate with agency management vendors to support system enhancements, workflow improvements, and data integrity initiatives.
- Assist with system updates, process changes, data validation, and implementation support to ensure smooth operational transitions.
- Research, document, and help implement process improvements that improve consistency, efficiency, and service quality.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
While not specified, candidates should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with agency management systems, compliance regulations, and project management is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications or coursework in insurance or technology are also beneficial.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with insurance industry standards and regulations are essential. Experience with agency management systems, compliance software, and project management tools is preferred.
