Operations Associate - 1st shift, $17.50 / hr

About the role

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Operations Associate to contribute to our Operations team in La Vergne, TN. At Ingram, the Operations team ensures that our distribution centers and warehouse facilities function at maximum efficiency. Responsibilities

• Check shipment quantity against bill of lading and inspect the condition of cartons and skids; sign as received or complete discrepancies, overage, shortage, or damaged paperwork as necessary.
• Work shipments based on receipt by separating cartons by title, placing cartons on the conveyor, counting and inspecting books, and completing breakdown tickets.
• Unload cartons from conveyor line and sort them onto pallets based on warehouse zones.
• Adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Work independently or collaborate in a group environment, demonstrating flexibility and multitasking based on workflow demands.
• Maintain production standards and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• 1 year of work experience in at least one previous job.
• 6 months of work experience that included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, or typing/keyboard.
• Reading, writing, and math skills up to a high school level (basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction).
• Attention to detail and ability to work safely in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and meet production standards.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs during the assigned shift (30 lbs or less continuously, 31–50 lbs frequently, and 51–70 lbs occasionally).
• Ability to push/pull up to 70 lbs of force during the assigned shift (1–50 lbs continuously and 51–70 lbs occasionally).
• Ability to grip/grasp, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.
• Exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
• 6 months of continuous work experience.

Schedule

Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
