Operational Technology Cyber Subject Matter Expert
Job Number: R0251626
About the role
America's critical infrastructure, public services, and operational environments are undergoing unprecedented digital transformation. As organizations modernize industrial operations and integrate connected technologies, cybersecurity has become a mission-critical component of operational resilience. Securing these environments requires more than technical controls. It requires strategic leadership that balances cyber risk, operational reliability, safety, and mission sustainment.
As an OT Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert at Booz Allen, you'll help shape the future of Operational Technology (OT) security across state and local government, civilian agencies, and critical infrastructure sectors. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, operational stakeholders, and technology partners, helping organizations build cyber-resilient environments that withstand evolving threats while maintaining mission continuity. You'll lead the development of innovative OT cybersecurity solutions that address the unique challenges of industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA environments, connected infrastructure, and cyber-physical systems.
Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll assess operational risks, develop cybersecurity strategies, and architect solutions that strengthen security while supporting operational objectives. We need a strategic leader who can bridge cybersecurity, operations, and business outcomes. You'll partner with leading OT and cybersecurity OEMs, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to evaluate emerging capabilities, influence solution development, and bring innovative technologies to clients facing complex cybersecurity challenges. You'll help define and develop repeatable solution offerings that address cyber survivability, operational resilience, and mission sustainment across critical infrastructure and public sector environments.
This is an opportunity to lead transformative initiatives that help state and local governments and critical infrastructure operators improve visibility, resilience, and response capabilities across operational environments. You'll guide efforts involving OT risk assessments, industrial cybersecurity architecture, cyber resilience planning, threat detection and response, secure remote operations, IT/OT convergence, and Zero Trust implementation within operational environments. You'll help clients prepare for and respond to evolving threats by developing strategies that strengthen cyber survivability and ensure continued operations during disruption or attack. As a recognized OT cybersecurity leader, you'll identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies, establish strategic partnerships, influence cybersecurity roadmaps, and advance Booz Allen's capabilities across critical infrastructure sectors.
