Operational Risk Analyst I
About the role
Westerra Credit Union is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operational Risk Analyst to support the daily operations of key risk management programs, including Vendor Management, and Business Continuity. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in risk and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Add Assist with daily administrative and operational tasks supporting ERM, Vendor Management, and Business Continuity programs
- Support in maintaining documentation, files, and templates for risk-related processes
- Aid in assisting with assigned tasks related to program activities and initiatives
- Help maintain and organize Business Continuity Plan documentation
- Aid in updates and coordination of continuity-related activities
- Assist with scheduling and logistics for continuity meetings or exercises
- Enter and maintain data in risk and vendor management systems
- Aid in preparing basic reports and compiling information
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned data and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience/Education: 2+ years’ experience risk in the financial industry, compliance, operations, or related field
- Ncontracts Knowledge preferred
- Skills and Abilities: Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, ability to follow processes and complete tasks accurately, basic problem-solving and critical thinking skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ability to learn quickly and adapt in a team environment, ability to work under supervision and follow direction, exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, maintains high-level of confidentiality, uses judgement with supervision, understands the basic business line and operating environment
Pay
The starting annual salary rate is $55,664-$69,580, plus eligibility for Westerra's self-funding reward plan.
Schedule
This role is hybrid, typically working a dispersed, flexible team environment both on Westerra campus (at least 2x/week) and remotely. Employees must reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate prior to starting employment. Residency is required for payroll and state tax purposes. Occasional off-site at business development or community events; may require weekend and/or evening shifts offset by branch schedule. Works primarily at a desk. Ability to lift 25 pounds. After-hours availability may be required in the event of an emergency. Travel requirements may need to travel within the Denver Metro and surrounding areas to support branch needs.
