Operational Psychologist
About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Operational Psychologist to support Active Duty personnel at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions to military Special Operations units, military intelligence agencies, or equivalent law enforcement organizations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement mental health programs tailored to the needs of the fully insured, compliant patient population.
- Evaluate and address the psychological needs of military personnel, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and state licensing requirements.
- Conduct research and provide consultation on topics related to operational psychology and human factors.
- Maintain current certifications and licensure, including BLS certification.
Requirements
- Completed a Ph.D or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program.
- Successfully completed an APA accredited internship/residency in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Holds and maintains an active state license for independent practice in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- At least two (2) years of full-time, professional experience working directly with military Special Operations units, military intelligence agencies, or equivalent law enforcement organizations.
- Has successfully completed graduate-level coursework or certification in Sport/Performance Psychology or Human Factors.
Qualifications
- Must hold and maintain an active state license for independent practice in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Compliant with ethical guidelines for the state of practice.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with military personnel and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments and interventions in a variety of settings.
- Knowledge of military operations and intelligence operations.
- Experience in performance psychology or human factors.
