Operational Due Diligence Manager, Assistant Vice President - State Street Investment Management
About the role
The Operational Due Diligence (Ops DD) team within Global Funds Management at State Street Investment Management is responsible for overseeing and conducting operational due diligence on third party investment managers and sub advisory relationships. This role is seeking an AVP to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist (Lead with experience) with initial and ongoing third party manager and sub advisor operational due diligence reviews, including performing document reviews, participating in Ops DD meetings, and producing reports as directed by Senior Ops DD team members.
- Manage the media monitoring and background check processes for third party managers and sub advisors.
- Plan and facilitate activities for third party managers and sub advisors as directed by Senior Ops DD team members.
- Provide timely responses to inquiries and execute outreach to third party managers, sub-advisors, and internal cross functional teams.
- Liaise with internal functional areas including Global Funds Management, Investment Research, Legal, Compliance and Product Management on various matters.
- Review Due Diligence Questionnaire responses and escalate items of concern to the Senior Ops DD team members.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in a collaborative environment, possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and have a passion for continuous development and improvement.
- 2-5 years of experience in third party manager operational due diligence.
- Knowledge of investment vehicles, operations, and controls.
- Willingness to travel – approximately 15%.
- A professional advanced degree or professional qualification such as a CPA (preferred but not required).

$75,000 - $123,750 Annual
