Operation Manager Intern (Starting Summer 2027) Regional Distribution Center - Albany, OR

About the role

The role provides hands-on training to develop and prepare for a career in operations leadership within a Target Supply Chain Facility. It is a paid 40 hours/week internship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of daily operations
• Work alongside team members to lead through daily priorities
• Maintain a high standard of quality/inventory accuracy through standardization of processes
• Track various KPI’s such as safety, teamwork, quality and productivity
• Administer communication between IT and the Operation team
• Recruit and mentor team members
• Lead/present at daily planning meetings
• Plan daily goals and organize shift plans
• Conduct audits and provide feedback
• Carry out safety walks and partner with leaders regarding team member performance
• Communicate with buildings leaders to set goals and expectations

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within supply chain facilities
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented thinking and enthusiasm for continuous learning
• Ability to climb up and down ladders, lift merchandise, and respond to team member issues
• Understand instructions, reports, and information
• Flexible work schedule and regular attendance
