Responsibilities
- Design and develop platform adapters that integrate the Darkstrike execution control platform with Microsoft Windows and macOS.
- Develop secure interfaces between the Darkstrike platform and operating system services.
- Extend execution control capabilities across supported operating system environments.
- Build highly performant, reliable, and maintainable operating system integration components.
- Evaluate operating system APIs and integration mechanisms to support secure execution control.
- Develop software utilizing native Windows APIs and frameworks.
- Develop software utilizing native macOS APIs and frameworks.
- Integrate with operating system authentication, authorization, process management, file system, and security services.
- Support compatibility across current enterprise Windows and macOS releases.
- Troubleshoot operating system interoperability and performance issues.
- Develop integrations supporting Microsoft Office desktop applications and Microsoft 365.
- Design secure interfaces with Office productivity applications where appropriate.
- Support execution control for enterprise productivity workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to extend platform capabilities into Microsoft application environments.
- Collaborate with backend engineering to integrate platform adapters with execution control services.
- Develop secure interprocess communication and API integrations.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
- Implement secure software development practices and least-privilege designs.
- Support secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Participate in security reviews, testing, and vulnerability remediation.
- Aid in maintaining secure endpoint integration architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience developing software for Microsoft Windows and macOS.
- Deep understanding of operating system internals and native operating system APIs.
- Experience with systems programming using C++, Go, and Python.
- Experience integrating enterprise software with desktop operating systems.
- Strong understanding of process management, memory management, threading, file systems, and operating system security.
- Experience developing secure, high-performance software.
- Preferred: experience developing endpoint security or cybersecurity products.
- Preferred: integration experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Windows COM, Win32, .NET interoperability, or Microsoft Graph APIs.
- Preferred: Apple development frameworks and macOS security architecture.
- Preferred: secure software architecture and modern authentication technologies.
- Preferred: cloud-connected endpoint applications.
- Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred: experience with Golang and Python.
- Preferred: experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
