Operating Room Technician II
About the role
The Operating Room Technician II (ORT II) assists the Team Leader by preparing, maintaining, and anticipating instrument, equipment, supply, and procedural needs for all service-related surgical procedures. They are responsible for facilitating the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. They have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, maintains, and anticipates instrument, equipment, supply, and procedural needs for all service-related surgical procedures.
- Facilitates the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures.
- Ensures the operating room environment is safe.
- Ensures that equipment functions properly.
- Ants to the needs of the surgeon during the procedure.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved Operating Room Technician Program or 2 years Operating Room Technician experience.
- Experience: 2 years Operating Room Technician experience required in lieu of program graduation.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
Skills
- Understanding of the procedure being performed.
- Anticipation of the needs of the surgeon.
- Teamwork in a sterile environment.

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 0645-1515, With Call, Day Shift, 8-Hour Shifts.
