Operating Room Technician

About the role

Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake Village is hiring a PRN Operating Room Technician. This position is located in Westlake Village, California.

Responsibilities

- Scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a member of the surgical team. - Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. - Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. - Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. - Participates in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

- High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certification as required by state and/or center. - Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred. - Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient. - Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation. - Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient. - Excellent teamwork skills and strong communication abilities.

Pay

Pay Range: $26.00 - $32.00/hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

No call, weekends or holidays.
