Operating Room Tech

About the role

Join our team as a day shift, part-time, Operating Room Tech in Claremore, OK. Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in positioning the patient
• Perform room turn-over and terminal cleaning of OR rooms
• Maintain working knowledge of anesthesia machines, ventilators, and various small equipment to keep them operational
• Follow policy and procedures for patient identification and transportation
• Communicate effectively with charge nurse, co‑workers, and anesthesia regarding patient care needs
• Restock supplies, ensure effective turnover of surgery procedure rooms, and assist with patient transfers
• Clean and stock anesthesia machines, equipment, and carts

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED (preferred)
• Proficient in sterile techniques for instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Knowledgeable in proper handling, disinfecting, and sterilizing of instruments
