Operating Room Nurse - PRN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric OR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care in a pediatric acute care hospital. As a PRN (as-needed) role, the nurse will perform patient assessments, interventions, and safety procedures during surgeries, ensuring continuity of care between the operating room and patient units.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, interventions, and safety procedures during surgeries
• Assist physicians
• Maintain patient safety
• Support surgical procedures
• Ensure continuity of care between the operating room and patient units

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in pediatrics
• Current Ohio RN license
• BSN degree or currently pursuing BSN
• Required certifications: American Heart Association, BLS, and ACLS

Qualifications

• Preferred: CNOR certification
• Preferred: PALS certification
• Preferred experience: pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery, or laser procedures
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass background screening
