Operating Room Nurse - Perioperative - PRN

About the role

Blue Cloud is a leading pediatric Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) company focused on providing safe, quality, and affordable care for pediatric and special needs patients under general anesthesia. We are expanding our team and are currently hiring a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care for pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Possess organizational skills, including prioritization, planning, assessment, implementation, evaluation, teaching, and delegation.
• Demonstrate effective working relationships with employees, physicians, and leadership.
• Ability to listen and confer with personnel, practitioners, patients, parents, and the public.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team member and possess strong leadership skills.
• Act efficiently and rationally in any emergency.
• Show clear and detailed knowledge of safety, patient rights, infection control, risk management, equipment usage, and OR standards.
• Work a minimum of 18 hours per month.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire).
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the operating room as a circulator and scrub nurse.
