Operating Room Nurse BWH

About the role

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for our Operating Room. This is a 36-hour Category I position requiring every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) commitment. Call team assignments are determined based on skill set and departmental needs. The role involves providing care for patients in the Operating Room and working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes)
• Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] required
• Experience: 3+ years OR experience required; Charge Experience preferred
• Prior experience not required unless specified for certain specialty areas

Skills

• The RN must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
• Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
• Must be able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management

Pay

Pay Range: $41.71 - $105.65/Hourly
