Operating Room Attendant

About the role

Works under the direction of the Operating Room Attendant Supervisor. Provides the highest quality of service delivered efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as outlined in organizational standards 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Case Cart & Equipment Handling
  • Deliver and disinfect case carts; return dirty carts to CPD.
  • Dock Neptunes for cleaning.
  • Transport dirty scopes and biohazard bins between Cysto and CPD.
• OR Room Turnover & Patient Support
  • Clean and reset OR rooms between cases (wipe equipment, mop floors).
  • Assist with patient transfers post-surgery.
  • Set up rooms with equipment for upcoming procedures.
• Linen & Waste Management
  • Dispose of dirty linen and garbage properly.
  • Restock clean linen and replace soiled bags in OR cores.
• Supply & Equipment Maintenance
  • Restock general supplies (foam, gloves, masks, specimen cups).
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, mops, buckets, and Formalin.
  • Clean and organize storage areas and equipment.
  • Report broken equipment to appropriate personnel.
• Lab & Blood Bank Support
  • Make runs to Lab and Blood Bank as needed.
  • Participate in Massive Blood Transfusion Protocol when required.
• Service Standards
  • Deliver services efficiently, effectively, and compassionately in alignment with organizational standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience (Preferred)
