Operating Room Assistant I - Surgical Services - PT - Days - JDCH

Summary

Creates a sanitary, safe environment and assist nurses in patient care for the Operating Room (OR). Physically demanding role; 3 - 8 hour shifts; no weekend; able to take Call.

Responsibilities

• Assists with moving surgical equipment.
• Assists with transporting specimens and instruments.
• Cleans the OR surgical suites and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Assists nurse with providing basic patient care.
• Stocks supplies in surgical suites as necessary or designated.

Education and Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
