Operating Engineer
What's the Job?
Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all plant systems and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Supervise and manage engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and personal development.
Create and update preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans to optimize plant performance.
Participate in client-facing and team communications to support operational goals and safety standards.
Lead, develop, and manage the engineering budget and contribute to the overall operating budget process.
What's Needed?
- 7+ years of related experience, particularly in engineering leadership roles such as Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Experience managing teams and overseeing maintenance operations in an industrial setting.
- Strong background in HVAC, electrical systems, compressors, and other plant equipment.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and perform physical tasks as required.
