About the role
Operate various types of heavy machinery and industrial equipment following operational guidelines. Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and safety, adjusting controls as necessary. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to maintain optimal performance. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and execute repairs independently or with maintenance technicians. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training to prevent accidents and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and industrial equipment in accordance with operational guidelines
- Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and safety, adjusting controls as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and execute repairs independently or collaboratively with maintenance technicians
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training
Requirements
- Solid understanding of heavy machinery and industrial equipment operating principles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength to work in varied environmental conditions
- 5-7 years of experience as an Operating Engineer
