About the role

The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on-site at a 1.5M square foot campus comprising office space, conference centers, labs, and data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks pertaining to entire campus building systems and general maintenance that include but are not limited to: HVAC, including chiller plant/cooling tower maintenance, painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance.
  • Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests.
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks.
  • Support on-call or emergency response situations.
  • Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  • Assist in project oversight in partnership with Facility Management team, and project managers as applicable.
  • Vendor management as assigned.
  • Other projects and tasks to be assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
  • Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
  • Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
  • Strong customer service skills.

$66,400 - $85,000 proposed salary.

Schedule

7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call.
