Operating Engineer

About the Role

ATG Entertainment is a world leader in live entertainment, operating historic theatres, studio theatres, cinemas, conference spaces, and modern live music arenas across the UK, the US, and Germany. Our venues host over 15,000 live performances annually, including major productions like Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Moulin Rouge, and The Lion King.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, plus overtime when necessary. Must be available to work both day and evening shifts, 6 days out of the week, including weekends and holidays as required by operational demands.

Pay

Hourly pay rate is subject to increase based on current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations. Benefits provided through I.U.O.E. Local Union No. 30.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Maintain and monitor electrical power and control systems.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs.
• Monitor and operate fire protection systems and fire alarm systems.
• Execute minor carpentry tasks.
• Follow verbal instructions to accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Work in a deadline-oriented, high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Fill in for co-workers as needed due to vacation, illness, or other operational demands.
• Operate company vehicles occasionally (valid driver’s license required).

Requirements

• Extensive field experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• NYC Fire Department Certificate of Qualification for Refrigerating System Operating Engineer (Q-01).
• EPA CFC Universal Certification (40 CFR).
• NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness: S-12, S-13, and S-95 (or ability to obtain if selected).
• High level of motivation and ability to work independently.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and operational needs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• If not already a member, must apply for I.U.O.E. Local Union No. 30 membership after probation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk between multiple Times Square properties daily.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Climb ladders, stairs, and work at heights daily.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
