About the role
This is not a department-manager role. You will own financial performance, protect brand standards, drive value creation, and partner directly with executive leadership — with real autonomy and real accountability.
Responsibilities
- You’ll work directly with Lakeside leadership — not inside a corporate layer.
- You’ll have the autonomy to build, fix, and improve — not just maintain.
- Strong performance here opens the door to multi-asset oversight as Lakeside grows.
- Coeur d’Alene: one of the most sought-after communities in the Inland Northwest.
Requirements
- You’re an operator who has done this before — someone who has run a golf facility, managed multiple hospitality concepts, and delivered measurable financial results.
- You think like an owner because you’ve been trusted to act like one.
- Experience 7+ years of progressive operations or general management in golf, hospitality, F&B, or multi-concept retail — with direct P&L ownership.
- 3+ years of accountability for EBITDA, NOI, or operating margin — not simply a cost center or revenue line.
- Golf course operations experience at the GM, Director, or ownership-representative level is strongly preferred and will be weighted heavily.
- Demonstrated experience managing operations through managers — setting standards, building systems, and holding teams accountable.
- Experience reporting to or working alongside ownership, a board, or a family office environment.
- Build and manage multi-line operating budgets and rolling forecasts independently.
- P&L, COGS, labor reporting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Develop KPI dashboards and structured reporting that give ownership real-time visibility.
- Capital planning, ROI analysis, and investment recommendations.
- Operational Design and implement scalable operating systems — not just manage existing ones.
- Vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy.
- Pro shop retail: assortment, pricing, and inventory turn.
- Seasonal golf market dynamics in a northern climate.
- Develop manager-level talent through coaching, feedback, and goal-setting.
- Distill operational complexity into clear ownership-level reporting.
- Represent ownership professionally in guest, community, and vendor settings.
- Operate autonomously while staying tightly aligned with leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, or related field (required).
- MBA or equivalent graduate business education preferred, particularly for candidates bridging operations and financial performance.
- In lieu of degree: 10+ years of directly relevant multi-unit golf or hospitality operations with demonstrated financial ownership will be considered.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record — multi-site travel required.
- IDaho responsible alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- PGA membership, CMAA certification, or equivalent hospitality credential is a plus — not required.
