About the role
Long-term contract position located in Dallas, TX (onsite). In-person interview required.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operationally support Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure (OCP 4.6 through latest stable version).
- Migrate and refactor applications to containerized workloads.
- Provision and manage multi-node high-availability clusters, including monitoring, performance testing, and application deployment.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, or comparable substitutes.
- Apply DevOps concepts, tools, and practices to automate deployment and operational tasks.
- Document processes, share knowledge, and train other team members.
- Communicate complex technical issues effectively through written, oral, and digital channels.
- Work in a multi-tasking environment with multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Linux containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and containerized application/microservices architectures.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
- Experience with Java, JBoss, nginx, Node.js, and enterprise application architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one configuration management or scripting technology (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python).
- Hands-on experience with automated deployment tools.
- Deep understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices.
- Analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of networking topics (protocols, firewalls, load balancers).
- Willingness to document and share knowledge with the team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with VMware technologies (vCenter, vRA, vRO) and running OpenShift on bare metal.
- Working knowledge of SSL certificate management.
- Experience with Agile teams, tools, practices, and ceremonies (Kanban, stand-ups, sprints).
- Familiarity with container and pod-level monitoring and logging tools (Dynatrace, QRadar).
- Experience working with IBM Cloud and/or AWS.
- Awareness of relevant industry-leading standards and emerging technologies.
Pay
$46/hour on W2 (all-inclusive).
