Open to New Graduates | Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant | ENT Specialists

Location: Greensboro • Full-time (40 hours/week) • Exempt (salaried)

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • No on-call duty

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments of patients, reviews medical history, and interprets diagnostic tests/results to provide effective treatment.
• Conducts preventive health screenings based on patient age, history, and unique needs.
• Educates patients and families about specialty-care medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Maintains accurate records of all patient care to ensure comprehensive patient history.
• Performs specialty-care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Identifies opportunities to improve inpatient and outpatient specialty care by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating clinical and system issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies (Bachelor’s degree accepted for PAs employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024, provided they maintain employment and PA licensure with Board Certification).
• Open to new graduates; 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license, or NC PA license.
• Board certification within 1 year of hire by:
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs, or
  • American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC), National Certification Corporation (NCC), American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB), The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) for NPs.
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers.
• IVC certification within 90 days of employment for Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Providers.
