Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive clinical care in trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care, including operative and ICU management.

Participate in trauma call coverage and multidisciplinary critical care teams.

Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows within an ACGME-accredited training program.

Engage in scholarly activity, including clinical outcomes research, quality improvement, and academic dissemination.

Contribute to departmental, institutional, and trauma system initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in research and scholarly productivity.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care in complex surgical and critical care settings.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Board certified in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Surgery.
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in Tennessee.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-tenured Open Rank Professor position.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
