Open-rank Professor of Inorganic Chemistry

Tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry or a related discipline required by August 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and supportive department of 13 research-active faculty. Furman has a strong history of excellent teaching and mentoring, including a vigorous year-round research program with undergraduate students. The department maintains state-of-the-art facilities with exceptional instrument holdings, including those supporting inorganic synthetic, photophysics, and materials research.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry or a related discipline (required by August 1, 2027).
• Prior university-level teaching experience and post-doctoral experience (highly preferred but not required).
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to an inclusive academic community.
