About the role
The Department of Radiation Oncology in the School of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure or non-tenure track faculty position (track and rank dependent on qualifications) with a focus on gynecologic malignancies inclusive of brachytherapy, at our Chapel Hill campus.
We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in academic research, including laboratory research, clinical translational research. Candidates must possess MD degree with subspecialty training in Radiation Oncology and be ABR certified or eligible.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research focused on gynecologic malignancies inclusive of brachytherapy
- Teach and mentor students and fellows in radiation oncology
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments and institutions
- Participate in clinical care for gynecologic malignancies
Requirements
- MD degree (or equivalent) with subspecialty training in Radiation Oncology and be ABR certified or eligible
Qualifications
- A strong interest in academic research, including laboratory research, clinical translational research and/or physics-based research
- A primary clinical focus on gynecologic malignancies inclusive of brachytherapy
- A focus on one other disease site based on candidate interest/expertise and UNC clinical needs
- Broad clinical abilities
