Open Rank Faculty - OMM

PCOM Georgia is looking for a vibrant and collaborative Osteopathic Physician with a passion for teaching and Osteopathic patient care. The candidate should incorporate Osteopathic principles routinely into patient care, be well versed in various Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine modalities, and be a team player who enjoys teaching. The role involves contemporary teaching approaches, including up-to-date understanding of Osteopathic modalities, electronic collaboration platforms, and electronic medical records. The candidate must have a profound appreciation for the history and heritage of the Osteopathic profession and be dedicated to teaching Osteopathic Principles and modalities.

The candidate will join a collaborative and hard-working team dedicated to educating and preserving osteopathic principles. All faculty teach DO medical students at PCOM Suwanee, GA, across years 1-4, including lectures, lab sessions, integrated OMM sessions, and mentoring students in clinical rotations. The position also involves patient care in the Osteopathic Specialty Clinic, mentoring students and OMM scholars, and administrative duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current professional standing and high standards in all aspects of professional service.
• Participate in the education of OMS-1 and OMS-2 students through lectures, laboratories, and clinical settings.
• Supervise and teach OMS-3 and OMS-4 students, as well as Osteopathic primary care residents.
• Provide patient care in the Osteopathic Specialty Clinic.
• Evaluate student progress through practical assessments.
• Serve in leadership and membership roles on college and faculty committees as directed by the Dean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the OMM Chair or Campus Dean.

Requirements

• D.O. or M.D. degree and Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine or its equivalent.
• Maintain active medical licenses and board certification in NMM or other appropriate primary care board certification with equivalent proficiency in OMM.
• Two years of teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in lecture, lab, and small group settings or equivalent experience.
• Participation in an osteopathic scholarship/fellowship program is favorable.
• Ongoing education in Osteopathic principles, CMEs, seminars, and adjunct treatment modalities is beneficial.
