Responsibilities
- Execute furniture production to the highest quality meeting all DGD standards
- Maintain and adhere to production schedule and project deadlines
- Maintain a well-organized and clean shop space
- Receive and organize building materials and supplies
- Hand select hardwood best suited for different parts of a project
- Help keep an accurate inventory of material and furniture parts in house
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout projects and at completion
- Prepare shipments for pick-up and delivery via white glove or freight deliveries
- Assist in pick-ups, local furniture and vendor deliveries
- Conduct machine maintenance
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience building furniture professionally
- Detail oriented with a focus on fine craftsmanship
- Read drawings and build to specifications provided
- Experience working with machinery: sliding table saw, jointer, planer, radial saw, band saw
- Knowledge of hand tools and experience in machine setup and general safety measures
- Knowledge of building materials, wood species and hardwood characteristics
- Distinguish variations in color, wood grain and defects in hard woods
- Finishing experience is a plus: Spray and hand applied techniques
- Accurately measure and quickly do simple math required to build to specification
- Spot problems and correct them quickly and effectively
- Work independently and with a small team
- Produce high quality work at a quick and intentional pace
- Be punctual and reliable with good communication skills
- Lift and carry significant weight
Compensation and Benefits
DGD will offer a package including a competitive hourly rate of $28-34 an hour, commensurate with experience and additional skills

Paid Working Trial
Applicants will commit to a paid working trial to accurately gauge skill level and experience. The initial one-to-two-day trial will be followed by a two week trial period.

This position is non-remote and is based in our Brooklyn Studio.
