Open Call Public Art Portfolio Submission
Gotham Park is currently accepting portfolio submissions from visual artists who would like their work to be considered for ongoing mural projects at our 4-acre public plaza. These projects are meant to engage and increase visibility of our site and programs through artwork that celebrates those who live, work, and recreate in Lower Manhattan.
We encourage those whose work addresses community, family, recreation, horticulture, water, movement, color, and New York City to apply. Preference is given to artists from New York City and living in Lower Manhattan. Artists will be contacted based on their responses to the below questionnaire and overall project fit.
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis for traditional wall murals, Department of Transportation ("DOT") jersey barrier art, and DOT asphalt art.
About Us
Gotham Park is the non-profit reopening and revitalizing public space under the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan. Our goal is to use public art to create accessible, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable public spaces for recreation, culture, community gathering, and connection. In these newly reactivated recreation spaces, we will provide arts, cultural, educational and athletic programming free and open to the public.
