Op-shop Volunteer

About the role

Marlborough Four Paws operates an op-shop to raise funds for our mission of rescuing, desexing, and rehoming stray, abandoned, and unwanted cats and dogs in the Marlborough community. As a volunteer, you’ll join a positive, vibrant, and like-minded group dedicated to reducing animal suffering, protecting local birdlife, and preventing disease. The shop relies heavily on volunteer support, and we offer flexible roles to suit everyone.

• Serving customers: greeting, chatting, and processing purchases
• Donations: sorting through, cleaning, and pricing goods
• Floor: tidying, arranging, and engaging with customers

Requirements

Preferably, volunteers should be able-bodied, as the role involves standing and moving items within the shop.

Schedule

The shop is open 7 days a week with a range of shifts available:

• Monday–Tuesday: 10am – 3pm
• Wednesday–Sunday: 9am–1pm and 1pm–5pm

Casual/on-call opportunities are also available.
