Responsibilities
- Advises clients on ontology strategy
- Led teams in the definition and execution of ontology design, implementation, and management
- Facilitates stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into ontology and semantic solutions
- Develops and maintains ontologies, utilizing semantic and data management best practices
- Affords and evaluates existing ontologies and makes recommendations for improvement and alignment with industry standards
- Provides training and guidance to clients and prepares documentation on the value, use, and maintenance of ontologies
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure efficacy and longevity of ontology solutions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing and managing ontologies in business environments
- A strong understanding of ontology applications, design, and management principles and best practices
- Expertise in semantic standards such as RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL
- Hands-on experience with ontology tooling and management systems such as Protégé
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitative skills to work effectively on cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Science, Knowledge Management, Library Science, Management of Information Systems, Philosophy (Formal Ontology, Epistemology), Linguistics or other related field
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts, and experience working with ontology in the context of AI
- Understanding of typical solution architectures for semantic solutions

Pay
A range for a starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 with most candidates likely to fall in the lower half. This range does not guarantee a specific salary and may be adjusted based on the needs of the company and the candidate's qualifications.
