Onsite Team Lead
About the role
The Onsite Team Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the onsite by-product management system/set-up at the facility. They also assist in developing and implementing solutions for onsite waste and recycling processes, maintaining professional interactions with clients, and managing client service requests.
Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety is the top priority by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Train other employees on all processes involved in the by-product management of customer waste streams and recycling capacities.
- Directly supervise shift employees and provide support to the Shift Supervisor, including administrative tasks and training.
- Provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor in case of absence (sickness, vacation, meetings).
- Perform sorting and processing of all wastes and by-products in a fast-paced manufacturing facility environment, ensuring compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Operate motorized trucks, fork trucks with attachments, and other handling equipment to process and move materials between the processing area and trailers, roll-offs, and other containers.
- Safely operate equipment such as hand tools, balers, and compactors to process materials.
- Sort materials according to established guidelines for further processing.
- Participate in and train others on spill response duties as assigned by customer contracts.
- Utilize knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations, as well as company policies and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations preferred.
- Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
- Physical ability to meet all requirements of the position (standing, bending, squatting, etc.).
- Computer program knowledge required (Microsoft Word & Excel).
Skills and Abilities

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Onsite Team Lead works a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.
